La raison d’être de l’assurance coopérative (kyōsai) dans la couverture santé au Japon
Abstract
This article focuses on the role of the private sector in health coverage in Japan, and in particular discusses the role and importance of cooperative insurance (kyōsai). Kyōsai in Japan has traditionally been characterized by a more relaxed risk classification than private insurance. However, this has not always been the case in recent years, and the homogenization between private insurance and kyōsai has progressed. In the long run, this may lead to the abandonment of the original meaning and reason for the existence of cooperative insurance.
