Paradigmenwechsel im japanischen Organtransplantationsgesetz und die verbleibenden Probleme
Abstract
The Japanese Law on Organ Transplantation of 1997 was amended in 2009.
The requirements for postmoral organ transplantations have been eased considerably. It is now possible to transplant organs from a braindead person unless the donor himself or herself has submitted a written objection beforehand or his or her relatives raise an objection to the transplantation in writing.
This article explains the background of the amendment, summarizes the contents of the new regulation and points out several problems that (still) remain to be solved.
