The article gives an overview of some of the most important decisions of the Japanese Supreme Court in the area of private law covering the period of November 2017 to October 2018 and thus continuing from where the overview for the year 2017 (ZJapanR/J.Japan.L 47 (2019) 277 ff.) left off.
